DIGNIFIED WORK AND FAIR WAGES

GOAL 3: PROTECT PEOPLE

DIGNIFIED WORK AND FAIR WAGES

Dignified working conditions, a fair income, secure job and equal opportunity: this is what we want to attain with our social and ecological projects. From Himalayan cherry oil from Nepal and organic aloe vera from Guatemala to jojoba oil from Namibia, we support many projects in order to create a fair, long-term livelihood for local people. In this context, we are especially committed to establishing and strengthening women’s rights in the respective country.

By 2025, we will expand our existing projects and our collaboration with the GWW nationally and internationally: for example, Jojoba from Namibia. We also want to initiate another social and ecological project and every new product from ANNEMARIE BĂ–RLIND will contain an ingredient from one of the projects.

HOW WE WILL ACHIEVE THE GOAL

GWW WORKSHOPS AND HOME PERSONS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Our collaboration with GWW (workshops and homes for persons with special needs) in Calw, Germany, has been very close for 40 years. So far, it has enabled us to provide a job for 15 people with special needs. GWW took on the mission of creating the most suitable forms of jobs and housing for persons with special needs in the communities of Böblingen and Calw, and providing the necessary assistance and support. We want to continue and expand our collaboration in the future.

SOCIAL AND ECOLOGICAL PROJECTS WORLDWIDE

In the next five years, we will also intensify our commitment to ongoing social and ecological projects and initiate a new one. Such projects enable us to safeguard dignified living and working conditions, as well as formal education and sustainable jobs. Alongside fair work, a guaranteed supply of food and healthcare is important to us. Thanks to new opportunities for education and financial independence, we have been able to support women’s right to self-determination.

Another measure will be to ensure that each of the new products from ANNEMARIE BĂ–RLIND contains at least one raw material from these projects. They are already being used in some of our products such as organic aloe vera in our 2-PHASE ALOE VERA SHAKE.

Supporting women who are less fortunate than us is another matter that is close to our hearts. To break through the poverty spiral, we offer them fair, reliable work as part of our project. With what they earn, they can offer their children better educational opportunities and a better life.
