ANNEMARIE BÖRLIND After Sun soothing Lotion is a cooling and nurturing lotion to provide immediate assistance to skin that has been over-exposed to the sun. Soothing and moisturizing herbal extracts like allantoin and witch hazel ease slight redness and skin irritations that the sun may have caused. Panthenol and sorbitol increase the skin's moisture content and preserve its elasticity. Your skin can recover more quickly and your tan lasts longer.

Deep spring water
BÖRLIND’s own deep spring water comes from 166 meters below ground. It is characterized by its high level of purity and impeccable microbiological quality.
ALCOHOL
Pure undenatured ethyl alcohol, potable alcohol
Pure (undenatured) potable alcohol, derived from the fermentation of plants containing starch or sugar, is used as a solvent for extracts and active substances. It also has refreshing, vascular toning and preserving effects.
OLUS OIL
Vegetable oil
This oil, pressed from various plants, has a smoothing effect on the skin.
ETHYLHEXYL STEARATE
Ethylhexyl stearate
This vegetable oil component is absorbed well by the skin and leaves no oily film.
SUCROSE PALMITATE
Stabilizer, (co-)emulsifiers
These stabilizers and (co-)emulsifiers, derived from plant substances, bind water with oil.
DISTARCH PHOSPHATE
Modified corn starch
This powder, obtained from corn starch, stabilizes emulsions and feels light and powdery on the skin.
GLYCERIN
Glycerin
Glycerin, derived from vegetable oil, has a moisturizing effect.
SQUALANE
Squalane
Squalane, derived from sugar cane or olives, is very similar to the skin’s natural squalene. This botanical oil leaves skin feeling silky and non-greasy. It has smoothing and moisture-retaining effects.
PANTHENOL
D-Panthenol/provitamin B5
This provitamin improves the skin’s elasticity and accelerates cell regeneration. It has moisturizing and regenerating effects.
GLYCERYL STEARATE
Emulsifier
This emulsifier, derived from plant substances, binds water with oil.
CANDELILLA/JOJOBA/RICE BRAN POLYGLYCERYL-3 ESTERS
Mixture of candelilla, jojoba and rice bran
This mixture of candelilla, jojoba and rice bran is used as a co-emulsifier. It leaves skin feeling pleasantly light.
MICROCRYSTALLINE CELLULOSE
Microcrystalline cellulose
This powder derived from the woody parts of plants, such as wood or oats, is a base for powdered active substances. It is used in different forms for lash length and volume in our mascaras.

Sorbitol
Sorbitol, derived from plant starch, has a moisturizing effect and is also used as a base for powdered active substances from plants.

Xanthan
Xanthan gum is obtained through fermentation from a plant substrate and is used as a natural gelling agent.
CETEARYL ALCOHOL
This waxy fatty alcohol, derived from vegetable fatty acids, is used as an emulsifier and consistency enhancer.
SODIUM STEAROYL LACTYLATE
Emulsifier
This emulsifier, derived from plant substances, binds water with oil.
MENTHYL LACTATE
Menthyl lactate
Menthyl lactate, derived from menthol and vegetable lactic acid, has cooling, refreshing and moisturizing effects.
CAMELINA SATIVA SEED OIL
False flax seed oil
The oil obtained from the seed of the false flax has a high omega fatty acid content. These fatty acids strengthen the skin’s protective barrier and thereby reduce moisture loss from the skin. The oil is therefore particularly suitable for the care of flaky, dry skin.
TOCOPHERYL ACETATE
Tocopheryl acetate/provitamin E
Provitamin E, derived from vegetable oils, is an antioxidant and therefore protects against free radicals and thus against premature aging. It also prevents skin damage caused by UV rays.
ALLANTOIN
Allantoin
Allantoin occurs naturally in comfrey, black salsify and horse chestnuts. It relieves irritation and has a regenerating effect
BENZYL SALICYLATE
Benzyl salicylate

Soybean oil
The oil obtained from soybeans contains vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids. It offers good skin protection and makes dry, flaky skin supple again.
